As summer turned to autumn, our September 30th Wanderlust Supper was timed to celebrate this summer’s travels, or those in years past. Our love of travel sees a mix of cultures, food and objects that can become a collection of memories. Supper took place at South Loop Loft, whose owner, Beth Burke, travels the globe to bring the most thoughtful and delightful furniture and works of art back to her Chicago shop.
Chef Won Kim of Kimski prepared a meal that, like his restaurant, is a blend of culture, flavor and fun. Ashley Lin Ames’ collection of stunning handmade ceramics set the tables, as well as some special pieces that are a collaboration between the ceramicist, her daughter and Chef Kim. Cornell Florist joined us once again with beautiful on-theme blooms, as well as Dot & Army’s beautiful handmade napkins. Guests brought a totem of their travels and we all told stories about them around the table!
We love a mood board! See below for our visual inspiration.
